Alison Hogan

As a leadership coach, Alison supports senior leaders and their teams to achieve exceptional performance and, as a result, make a significant contribution to the overall success of their organisations. Clients are frequently facing a major change in structure or strategic direction and Alison helps them to establish a foundation of trust and common purpose that transcends individual agendas and enables them to be more influential and effective, both within their organisation and more widely.

Clients have come from both private and not for profit organisations and across a number of sectors including public sector and not for profit and, in the private sector, FMCG, manufacturing, professional services, and financial.

Alison is a Fellow of the University of Exeter Business School Centre for Leadership Studies. She co-leads a module of the Executive One Planet MBA on Leading Self and Organisational Change and has been involved in a number of Executive Education and Leadership Development programmes. She is currently undertaking research into Excellence in Board Leadership which is based on in-depth interviews with current and former FTSE 100 chairmen.

Alison has a Diploma in Systemic Team Coaching from The Academy of Executive Coaching and is a member of faculty for the 2011-12 programme. She has a Diploma in Coaching Mastery (ITS) and is an Associated Certified Coach of the International Coaching Federation. Alison is qualified to administer Myers Briggs Step 1 and the Hogan Assessment Suite.

After graduating with degrees from Manchester and Oxford University, Alison was a journalist, latterly with the Financial Times, and then became a corporate communications consultant for 15 years. From 2000 to 2003, she joined Unilever where she worked closely with the Directors of the two newly-established global divisions, helping them to gain the buy-in of their management teams.
