Christine Abbott
Christine’s recent projects have included: managing a talent management programme for an international shipping company; delivering assessment and development centres for directors in the public sector; defining and developing behavioural competencies for directors for a large learning disability provider; a programme of action learning facilitation training for the public sector and supporting a national bank to develop a training centre.
Christine works regularly in Syria, USA, China, and Europe coaching and mentoring and facilitating action learning for senior managers in a number of international and national companies.
In 2003 she established The Centre for Improvement and Leadership at University of Lincoln. Over the next 5 years she designed and delivered a range of bespoke corporate management, leadership and organisation development programmes for both the private and public sector. These programmes incorporated taught modules, action learning and coaching and mentoring and were validated at post graduate, and under-graduate level. Christine as Chairman of the Institute for Supervision and Management led the merger with the National Examining Board for Management forming the Institute for Leadership and Management and the incorporation into the City and Guilds Group. Christine remains a non-executive director and trustee.
Maintaining her links with academia, Christine is an associate of the Open University Business School and Leeds Metropolitan University regularly teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate management programmes.
