Sarah Ackroyd
A fully accredited coach and published author on business mentoring, Sarah has worked as an executive coach, mentor and management consultant for over fifteen years. Her experience spans the corporate, public and the voluntary sectors and she has designed and delivered bespoke leadership development programmes for high profile clients including the NSPCC, Peabody, Barclays Global Investors, JPMorgan Chase Manhattan, National Police Service and UBS. Sarah’s leadership and management expertise was gained through 16 years instigating and managing large scale change programmes for Local Government. Sarah is a qualified supervisor coach and acts as a supervisor on the Bath Consultancy Group Supervision Programme for coaches, mentors and consultants. Sarah is a founding member of The Centre for Mentoring and Coaching Ltd who are business partners with the University of the West of England where Sarah co-tutors a Masters Module coaching entitled ‘Developing Mentors and Coaches: an inquiry into practice’.
Numerous organisations have benefited from Sarah’s coaching and success from these has resulted in a number of longstanding client relationships. Her client experience spans the sectors enabling her to bring cross fertilisation of approaches and ideas. These have included large corporates such as UBS, BGI, BarCap and JPMorgan; public sector clients including The University of the West of England, Bristol City Council and the NHS, whilst her work in charities has included the NSPCC, Redcross and Amnesty International. Sarah’s natural empathy and intuition create a supportive environment for coaching clients within which Sarah is able to challenge and stretch their potential.
Sarah is a qualified coach supervisor through BCG and the Centre for Supervision and Team Development; and is a facilitator on the University of the West of England Masters in Coaching and Mentoring. Sarah is a qualified practitioner of the Leadership Development Framework and the Leadership Insight Profiling tool. Both these leadership tools provide powerful development insights for managers wanting to develop their leadership capacity. Qualified in the use of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator Step II, Sarah uses this to help people understand themselves and unravel the way they communicate with others.
