Fiona Ellis - Director
Fiona is a Director at Bath Consultancy Group and an experienced consultant, coach and designer of development workshops. She has a strong, calm, facilitative style, and enjoys working closely to support internal consultants, drawing on her own experience as an internal consultant for ten years.
She consults to organisations across the private and public sector a range of work including leadership development, working with culture change, whole systems transformation, HR development, action learning and team development.
She has worked internationally for clients in the oil industry, television, telecommunications, FMCG, financial services and in the UK public sector,
both government and health.
Recent projects have included:
- Designing two of the main leadership development programmes for a
world-leading mobile phone supplier and heading a team delivering this globally
- Creating a team development framework for a leading telecommunications company and implementing it globally through an on-line team charter process; developing HR to support team development and a global programme on Leading Teams for Managers
- Leading a project team working for a UK Government department supporting the internal OD team and coaching the Head of Leadership and Change Team
- Developing an approach to Transition Support for Senior Executives,
which is now being used in a global oil company, a mobile phone company and a
government department
- Designing a six-month global senior leadership program for an international engineering company
Fiona has broad experience of HR development and supporting internal OD specialists, having designed and led an HR Strategic Partners programme with senior HR Business Partners across a mobile phone company.
Fiona has an MSc in Change Agents: Skills and Strategies at Surrey University and has undertaken research into best practice in executive leadership development with international companies for a major public service organisation. She has also been a non-executive director in an NHS Trust.
Danela Ezekiel - Principal Consultant
Danela has worked in partnership with Bath Consultancy Group on global projects since 1997 and joined the team as a full time principal consultant in 2012. She is respected among
decision-makers in international corporations as someone who is simultaneously practical and action orientated, while being able to work at the appropriate depth of emerging team dynamics with skilful and unobtrusive facilitation.
Danela began her career in Human Resources, primarily in retail and pharmaceuticals and has consulted for 18 years in a range of areas: leadership development, coaching, team coaching and HR development. Working for a leading edge Leadership and Coaching Consultancy (YSA) in South Africa as a key Director, she developed and facilitated action learning leadership programmes globally and coached executives and managers to make significant shifts within their leadership. Danela has mentored business leaders through their career transitions and leadership challenges. She brings the practical experience of being a business leader to the leadership development consulting role, enabling teams to take a stronger role in influencing those around them and focusing their behaviour to align with the strategy of the business and the desired culture without losing the authentic self.
Danela has worked closely with a range of organisations, including a multinational brewing and beverage company, one of the largest professional service firms, a leading mobile phone supplier, a multinational consumer goods company, a Pan-African banking group and a leading global resources company.
Current projects include a global executive coaching strategy, including the development of HR Business Partners as coaches; developing team leadership; coaching individuals and senior teams; action learning projects and leadership development programmes that create real shifts, most recently for the global leader in minerals and metals processing technology. Danela has co-facilitated the coaching elective of the part-time MBA programme at Wits Business School in South Africa.
Rupert Harding - Director
Head of Business Development
Rupert joined Bath Consultancy Group in 2008, following a career in many aspects of financial services. Rupert is an accomplished and accredited executive coach, highly skilled consultant and impactful facilitator. He heads our sales efforts and designs and delivers leadership and talent development programs globally. His work is aligned to shifting leadership behaviors to drive culture change helping organizations achieve their strategy and live their brand values.
An exceptionally accomplished sailor, competing and wining numerous one-design National, European and World championships, Rupert draws on this experience in his leadership and team development work.
As Principal Consultant Rupert heads the Financial Services practice at Bath Consultancy Group. After graduation Rupert spent 4 years on Chase Manhattan Bank’s ‘Advanced Development Program’ within their top flight talent pool, during this time he managed a number of large global operations teams, merged and re-engineered numerous global processes, ran large scale internal change programs integrating large operations teams across locations and functions. Travelling extensively he managed the banks first entry, representation and capability in all newly emerging markets.
At Northern Trust Bank Rupert established their global banking network, coordinating relationships with over 40 ‘agent banks’, travelling to and working in over 20 countries, he represented the bank on numerous global forums. He led their UK client relationship management group before moving on to sell Northern Trust’s global product suite to UK institutions.
Rupert spent 5 years as a director of one of the UK’s leading financial services search companies and has spent the last 10 years in OD and L&D consultancy, concentrating on the banking industry, he has worked with the best known banks across the globe including; a range of well-known high street and global investment banks.
Whilst his work has predominantly been in the Banking sector he delivers leadership and talent programs across many industries. In the public sector he has written papers on change for Connecting For Health, and worked as a change consultant as part of NPfIT for the Department of Health.
Professor Peter Hawkins Ph.D. - Chairman and Founder of Bath Consultancy Group
Peter is co-founder and Emeritus Chairman of Bath Consultancy Group. He is a leading consultant, coach, writer and researcher in organisational strategy, leadership, culture change, executive team and board development.
Peter has worked with many leading companies in Britain, Europe, North America and South Africa, co-designing and facilitating major change and organisational transformation projects. Clients include leading financial, manufacturing and service organisations. He has coached a number of boards and senior executive teams, enabling them to develop their vision, values and strategy for the future, both in commercial companies, higher education, the public health sector and large professional organisations.
Peter is the author of many books and papers in the fields of coaching, leadership and change, the most recent ones being Coaching, Mentoring and Organisational Consultancy: Supervision, Skills and Development, written jointly with Nick Smith,
(2nd ed, McGraw Hill, 2013) and Creating a Coaching Culture (McGraw Hill, 2012).
He leads international training programmes in systemic team coaching, coaching supervision. Peter is Professor of Leadership at Henley Business School, and a visiting professor in Leadership and Change at the University of Bath, School of Management, and in Executive Coaching at Oxford Brookes University School of Management. Peter is a sought after keynote speaker at international coaching conferences. He is Chairman of Renewal Associates, chairs two company boards and is also a trustee director of several charities and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and the Windsor Leadership Trust.
Chris Smith - Director - BA, MBA, FCIPD, FRSA
Chris has over 20 years’ experience as a consultant, coach and business manager. His consulting work encompasses organisation change, leadership and team development. He most enjoys challenges which connect these elements, enabling real shifts in leadership and business performance through a combination of interactive development programmes, action learning and coaching. He works as a coach with leaders and senior teams and his change experience includes organisation culture shift, re-structuring, outsourcing and acquisitions.
Chris has been with Bath Consultancy Group for over 6 years, having previously been an associate and a client. In this time he has enjoyed working through a variety of interventions with global clients in sectors including FMCG, software, telecommunications, financial and professional services. He has helped to grow our practice and services in individual and team coaching, leadership development and raising the capabilities of HR professionals.
In the past, he worked as an independent consultant and was an Associate Programme Director with London Business School, designing and managing programmes for international companies. Before this, he was the Director responsible for all learning, leadership and management development at Cable & Wireless Group, introducing the first integrated, global approach to talent and leadership development. He led the change, culture and leadership elements of an integration process for the global business.
Earlier he spent a number of years as a change consultant with Price Waterhouse, working mainly with public sector clients, having started his career in a business role with an American bank. He completed his MBA at Cranfield Business School
in the UK.
Mike Worsley - Principal Consultant
Mike is a learning, development and change professional with a strong commercial/strategic background. He has over 15 years experience, working around the globe with a range of
multi-national companies in various industries including Financial Services, Hi-Tech & Telecoms, Oil & Gas, FMCG and
Professional Services.
He has developed a multi-faceted skill base in leadership development, OD, talent management, change, marketing, programme and project management, as well as commercial business management. Mike enjoys challenges which draw on this full range of capabilities and he has a proven track record of delivering results. While working within major businesses he has run multi-million pound organisational design and transformational programmes which delivered new target operating models both within the UK and across Europe. Through requirement definition, analysis, strategic design and implementation, he has headed up numerous portfolios of projects to deliver successful outcomes to businesses. Working across complex environments he has managed to create shifts within individuals, teams and divisions that have helped transform organisational performance. In more recent years with Bath Consultancy Group he has added an increased focus on the dynamics of interpersonal relationships, leadership development and coaching.

Following a successful expedition to the North Pole, Mike has delivered a number of motivational talks and after dinner speeches. For some clients he has also developed this beyond motivation to include leadership, communication, process re-engineering and teambuilding. Mike has a BSc in Management Science, is an MBTI accredited practitioner, has a diploma in Performance Coaching for Business, a diploma in Professional Studies as well as being a PRINCE 2 qualified practitioner, a member of the Association for Project Management (APM) and an associate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
Margaret Bishop- Principal Consultant
Margaret has over twenty years experience in leadership development, Human Resources and consulting with organisations such as the London Chamber of Commerce, Reuters and Cass Business School, as well as practising as an independent consultant and coach. She is a Visiting Fellow with the Centre for Leadership Learning and Change at Cass. Margaret started her career in the charity sector, setting up and leading employment projects connecting young people with City firms.
Margaret specialises in supporting organisational and individual change. Her approach to consulting is based on a view of organisations which suggests it is as important to attend to the everyday interactions between people in their informal exchanges, such as conversations and organisational stories, as it is to the formal processes when designing change interventions. Margaret encourages clients to surface and recognise these informal processes to deepen their understanding of the culture and patterns of interaction they have created together. Margaret aims to maximise connectivity, connecting different combinations of people across the organisation to create the best conditions for creativity and sustainable change.
Her academic qualifications include a first degree in English Literature, MSc in Organisational Consulting and MBA. She is a Fellow of the CIPD and is qualified in psychometric testing with the British Psychological Society.
Sarah Mckinnon- Principal Consultant
Sarah is a highly-experienced learning professional and organisational development practitioner, with exceptional experience in leading cultural change and in the development of leadership skills. She has global experience of delivering large development programmes across many countries, effectively enabling business performance in complex, demanding and diverse environments. She is adept at working in complex organizations and with senior stakeholders.
Sarah has held numerous high profile positions including Head of Global Academy for the Retail Banking and Wealth Management sectors of the HSBC Group. In this role Sarah led the design, development and implementation of a global curriculum for 105k employees, spanning formal training, coaching and on-the-job development.
Sarah also held the role of Global Head of Learning and Development at ITG, a FTSE Top 30 FMCG. There Sarah identified and led change in existing working practices, skillset, governance and commercial approach to evolve to the future learning operating model. Quickly building a strong business stakeholder network across the group helped the learning function refocus on the impact at the commercial and operational core of the business.An experienced coach and team coach with a Post Graduate Certificate in Coaching from the University of Sussex.
She is a respected developer of in-house coaching capability and has recently started supervision training.
She has a BSc (Hons) in Modern Languages (French) and European Studies from Southampton University, as well as a BSc in Financial Services from UMIST.
