Successful platform at Westminster and Whitehall World Conference |

Danny Chesterman, a director of Bath Consultancy Group, was a guest speaker at a special one day conference on ‘Reform, Efficiency and Delivery in the UK Public Sector 2007 - 2010'.
The special one day conference offered
a timely opportunity to examine the Government's initiatives to drive
forward reform, efficiency and delivery in the public sector. These
initiatives have included the Capability Reviews, Professional Skills
for Government, the Gershon Review, as well as the Varney Review in
2006 and the Comprehensive Spending Reviews in 2007.
Amongst the issues addressed at the conference were:
- Improving efficiency and performance
- Tackling resistance to change
- The importance of reforming leadership in the public sector
- Skills for delivery: HR, learning and development
- Ensuring successful operational delivery
- Measuring and evaluating efficiency and delivery.
Danny's session 'The importance of
reforming leadership in the public sector' received some of the best
feedback of the conference. His £150 speaker's fee has been donated to
Action Aid International.
