Global Challenges - Leading Practice |
Traditional national boundaries no longer exist when it comes to implementing best practice in people development. Organisations are keen to take a global view and successfully develop their people around the world. Our approach is to work with our global network and ensure high quality delivery in each region of the world through our networks of associates, and to lessen the carbon impact.
But this is not just about designing a loose structure that is handed over to individual regions. Successful global organisations do two things. They have a deep understanding of the differences in culture and approach needed in different countries. And they integrate and align all their work around their global strategy in order to achieve their core purposes. For the reasons of quality, measurability and consistency organisations are turning to consultancies that have the right capabilities to act globally and deliver locally.
Some international programmes that Bath Consultancy Group has recently developed, designed and implemented include:
- Ernst & Young is taking their successful partner development programme into India. South Africa also ran an equivalent programme yet aimed at their local needs. In the UK, the ‘Leading to Win - the EY way' development programme worked with nearly 500 partners and has been instrumental in enabling Ernst & Young in accelerating their growth in the UK.
- The Bank of New York Mellon has piloted a programme called ‘Managing for Out Performance'. This is a development programme where participants clarify what it means to live the company's values day to day; create the right conditions for effective teamwork; deliver out-performance through high performing teams. So far, 165 people participated in 6 programmes held by Bath Consultancy Group in London and Manchester coming from Europe, India, Africa, and the Middle East.
- Bath Consultancy Group is partnering with Unilever to develop their strategic use of coaching around the world. The approach being piloted includes the provision of expert, external coaches for selected international, senior executives and increasing the ability of HR Business Partners to use coaching in their work with business leaders. Together we are putting in place mechanisms for measuring the impact of coaching and generating organisational learning.
