Associate Consultant
Karen has over fifteen years of organisational consulting experience both as an in-house leader and as an external consultant including 3 years at PA Consulting Group, 3 years at Glaxo Wellcome and 4 years at Ashridge.
She works with clients to support them to build sustainable strategic capability often working in collaboration with internal OD professionals. This has involved working on the strategic process itself, or developing the leadership capacity of the organisation in alignment to its strategic intent or developing future potential.
Karen co-wrote ‘Leading International Teams (McGraw Hill, 1999) and has worked extensively with global dispersed and virtual teams from a range of industries. She particularly enjoys working across functional boundaries bringing the customer voice right to the heart of R&D.
Recent assignments have included:
- Exploring the role of giftedness amongst talent pools and high potential groups
- Developing talent management and succession planning strategy for large government department
- Providing OD coaching and consulting to a major Whitehall Change Programme
- Design and Delivery of a global high potential development programme
- Raising the profile and capability of Organisational Capability function
For the last 18 months, Karen has worked exclusively in Whitehall, but prior to that her clients included BP, Philips Semiconductors (now NXP), Volkswagen Group and a number of SMEs in Norfolk, where she was based. Karen has lived and worked in Nigeria, Germany and USA and has worked additionally in Mexico, China, Taiwan, Singapore, South Africa, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Czech Republic, Italy, France, Egypt, Morocco, Dubai, Switzerland and Netherlands.
