UK & France Associate
Peter is a senior consultant and until recently a
Director of Bath Consultancy Group; prior to that he was a Senior Research
Fellow at Warwick
Business School.
Much of his work has involved assisting organisations to develop their mission,
vision and strategy, and to reorganise & reconfigure their services to
bring them closer to their customers and in alignment with social and
environmental needs. He has extensive experience of top team development,
leadership development, culture change and performance improvement.
Recent private sector clients include Mayer Brown,
British Airways, Schlumberger, Reuters, Siemens, Orange, and Nokia. This work has also
included developing effective cross-organisational, cross-system or
cross-national leadership development, and has been undertaken most recently in
UK, Germany, Ireland, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Portugal, France
and Finland.
In the public sector, his clients include central
government and a wide range of local authorities from across all four nations
of the UK
as well as NHS Trusts. As part of this he has led award-winning programmes for
the participation of users in local authority / health service / voluntary
sector provision of services for older people and their carers.
He has also
specialised in training & development for coaching, facilitation and
leadership skills for global consultancies (including PricewaterhouseCoopers);
for Universities (Bath, Warwick, Cranfield,
Lancaster and London
South Bank
Universities), and for internal
consultancy teams (Siemens, Nokia and Shell.)
In these and
other projects he seeks to prioritise work that will assist the development of
sustainable organisations for a sustainable world.
He has a
background as an author, researcher and academic, having taught at Warwick, Sydney and Oxford Universities.
He also has extensive psychotherapeutic and counselling experience, with a
background in Gestalt, NLP and Bioenergetics.
He has
worked with several business schools to assist them to develop new approaches
to learning and to managing their knowledge assets. He has been a keynote
speaker in this area to a number of UK and European conferences,
including the European Foundation for Management Development.
