Ben Fuchs brings to Bath Consultancy Group an extensive background in conflict management and over 20 years experience developing and applying positive approaches to change. He has worked internationally across cultural and ideological differences to improve communication, find common ground and develop strategies for effective collaboration. He combines his background in psychology with a pragmatic approach to the complex realities of organisational life.
In the UK public sector, he has worked with the Department of Health, the Department of Work and Pensions and Brighton Hove Council. From 1999 - 2003, he successfully led projects in Nicaragua and Northern Ireland, bringing together former adversaries in a process of dialogue and reconciliation.
Applying Appreciative Inquiry as an underlying principle, these projects strenthened community leadership and cohesion to create a more positive future. He is a practitioner of Appreciative Inquiry, Harvard Negotiation, Leadership Development Framework, and Process Oriented Psychology. Ben specialises in dealing with the emotional, cultural and political dimensions of organisational life, and how these impact both everyday behaviours and strategic decisions.
