Joanna has twenty years experience of leadership and people development consulting, including 6 years with KPMG and 7 years as Director of Executive Development for a medium sized consulting firm.
She specialises on advising clients on how best to develop their leadership population, working in partnership with internal teams and/or major business schools.
As a facilitator she designs and leads team events for executives and senior managers, often following mergers, restructuring or other organisational change. Areas of focus have included vision and objectives, cross-functional working, team dynamics and team building, shared understanding, and strategic planning for change.
She is also a very experienced executive coach with a well-developed reputation and established practice, working with partners, directors and heads of function in legal, accounting, banking and corporate clients.
As a consultant on ‘Development Strategies' she has also advised on:
- Career transitions including entry into partnership, technical expert to trusted business advisor, regional to national management roles.
- The formulation and implementation of career and talent management strategies.
- The design and delivery of management development programmes.
- The introduction of competencies, 360 feedback and partner reviews to magic circle law firms to support the development of the partner population.
- Raising the profile and capability of the HR function, developing credibility and competence, adding value to the business.
- Strategies and tools to foster a performance related culture.
Her current clients include Allen & Overy, Linklaters, Baker & McKenzie, Credit Suisse First Boston, Deutsche Bank, Nomura, Ernst & Young. Assignments have been conducted in the UK, USA, Japan, Russia, France, Belgium, Denmark and Germany.
