Dr Paul Roberts is currently living in Mexico, where, alongside his work as an educator and international consultant, he is creating an NGO to research and implement sustainable development projects in the south of the Mexican state of Jalisco, with a focus on the leadership and team-working dimensions of different projects aiming to achieve economic, environmental and social sustainability.

Paul has lived in Mexico for three years, working first as a ‘Guest Professor' at the University of Guadalajara and later as a Head of Department at the Mexican National Institute for Public Health.

He has worked for over 25 years in the field of leadership and organizational development with a wide range of different clients including - amongst others - Volvo Cars Ltd, Shell, Bang & Olufsen, Oracle UK, The Financial Services Authority, The Cabinet Office, BodyShop International, Halifax plc, The Royal Opera House, Guide Dogs for the Blind, and City University Business School (London).

Paul is an Associate of Roffey Park Institute, where he used to be a Programme Director for their MSc in People and Organizational Development, and a Senior Consultant with MiL Institute in Sweden, where he has led their cross-cultural programmes in International Management. He has a particular interest in complexity theory, and has been an Associate of the Complexity and Management Centre of the University of Hertsfordshire.

For many years he has had a close relationship with Schumacher College and has facilitated many of their courses on "Business and Sustainability". He is also an accredited facilitator with the Natural Step UK, an environmental organisation specialising in helping organisations adopt and implement principles of sustainable development.

Paul has an action-research PhD from the University of Bath, an MSc in Human Resource Development from the University of South Bank, London, and a Degree in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge. He has also worked as a social and community worker, and counsellor and psychotherapist.
