Sergio Montiel is an organisational systemic consultant, and designer for human and organisational development. He is also a certified executive coach and in the process of becoming a senior ontological coach with Newfield Consulting.
Sergio is currently an associate for Context Management Consulting Inc., in Toronto, Canada.
He is co-founder of Being Essence S.C., a Global Collective Intelligence think-tank and network based in Mexico City and Latin America. As part of this living systems network, Sergio has had the opportunity to work with thought leaders in the theory, design, and practice of transformative learning organisations.
Sergio was founder and director of a technology-based networking enterprise for the implementation of leading edge technologies in the Ibero-American marketplace and was also founder of a boutique communications firm in Mexico City. He also led the communications strategy and strategic alliances for Laborum.com Mexico, the first jobsite for Latin America.
Sergio has a B.Sc. in Communications from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and holds a M.Sc. in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) and University of Texas in Austin (UT). He recently finished his first year as a doctoral student from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and would be joining this year the Human and Organisational Development doctoral program at Fielding University. His research consists of the convergence of leading emergent theories of learning, transformative change, leadership and communications.
