Ronan is a highly-effective executive coach and leadership development consultant, with a strong track record of driving business results through the design and facilitation of organisational change and leadership development programmes. He has significant experience working with and coaching senior executives and leaders at all levels in major private and public sector organisations in both Europe and the USA. In addition to his consulting background, Ronan has considerable senior line management experience in industry.
Ronan was most recently a Partner with Oliver Wyman, based in Chicago, in both their Change Management and Leadership Development practices. His work focused on identifying key disconnects between strategic intent, leadership behaviour and culture; designing change initiatives; coaching individual leaders; developing and facilitating leadership and coaching programmes that make change happen throughout the organisation. Clients included Rohm & Haas, McDonalds, Bank of America, ArcelorMittal, United Airlines and BT.
Prior to Oliver Wyman, Ronan was Executive Vice President for the Forum Corporation, responsible for global marketing and thought leadership and for leading the sales and consulting teams in the mid-West, West and South of the US. He led many of Forum’s largest global coaching and leadership projects, for clients such as EDS, SC Johnson, Nike, Royal Bank of Scotland, Sainsbury, Mars, Amgen, Argos, Charles Schwab, O2, Gap and Carlson Wagonlit.
Ronan was a Founding Partner of change management firm Practick and a board director of Kinsley Lord, one of the first UK firms to specialise in the leadership aspects of organisational change and effectiveness. He worked with senior leaders at BBC, Shell, Nuclear Electric, William Grant and a number of government departments. Ronan was also asked to chair a Department of Social Security committee that managed relationships with organisations representing the interests of people with disabilities.
His early career encompassed a variety of market research and marketing positions in Unilever, Colgate-Palmolive and Cadbury Schweppes, where he headed-up the UK marketing department. Subsequently, Ronan was appointed as Group Managing Director of Marketing Solutions, oversaw the sale of the firm to an international advertising group and joined the plc Board.
